I don't think they have any reduced prices. THey are probably one of the cheapest priced kayaks in the market. Are you looking at the sit inside or sit on top Ascend?

I hear ya. After checking them out in person, I feel they are a solid platform. I'm going for the sit inside model. Having previously fished out of the tandem, it felt comfortable for my style. I'll post up pics of the rig when I get it!
