Dodger News..... Pedro back?

Well I've stepped out of my lifted truck, put up my rally monkey, taken off my TapouT shirt and covered my barbed wire tatt. And have some interesting Dodgers news to report but wait let me get in my Dodger fan gear. Okay putting on my wal-mart generic dodger jersey, pulled up my oversized dickies with a fat crease. Got my navy blue nike cortez laced up and on. Okay ready to report, oh wait my lady is still penciling on her eyebrows.

Okay now I'm ready.

Pedro back to the Dodgers? Could it be?

Looks like its a possibly at the moment. Pedro a now 37 year old with a rebuilt arm is a free agent after three injury plagued years with the Mets.

Pedro was looking pretty good for the DR team in the World Baseball Classic (of course he was pitching to the Netherlands team who aren't exactly known for baseball dominanace but he did dominate against them), and the Dodgers needing a pitcher...... maybe the dodgers could make up for their infamous trade of Pedro for Delino?

Pedro and Manny matched up might just be the ticket to take the dodgers all the way. And the way Schmidt is giving up the long ball it really might be just what the dodgers need.

We'll stay tuned for what at the very least we'll be an interesting year for the boys in blue!

Ahh, God Bless Fred Claire and his decision to trade him for Delino DeShields...I remember it like it was yesterday.

In any case, Pedro would definitely be a match made in heaven for the Dodgers, using their previous pitching acquisitions as a basis of my analysis.

Old?

Washed up?

Check.


Suffers from season debilitating injuries?

Check


Is gonna want a nice chunk of change?

Check

If they bring Pedro back, they should also find where his brother Ramón is and bring him back too. He'll be as good, as, I dunno, the Angels' 5th starter at this rate.

What the Dodgers should do is trade Schmidt to the Angels for Jared "I'll Never Be Better Than My Brother" Weaver, as his "Can't Get Out the First Inning in Spring Training" debut performance is rivaling Schmidt's outings; well, minus the fact Schmidt actually got more than 2/3 of an inning's work in.

That, or convince some of these Cuban pitchers to defect. This unknown "Bunch of Communists" pitching staff makes both the Angel and Dodger staff look they just got drafted from the California Penal league.

I can't wait for April 6th, when I make my drive to San Diego to harass the Padres fans who couldn't sell out their season and home opener against the Dodgers, and to start a petition to bring back "The San Diego Chicken."

Now if I can only find my Air Jordan 3s, True Blue.

Even without Pedro the Dodgers have a line up that is sure to produce runs. In fact I'm sure they have nothing to worry about giving up an average of almost 7 runs per game in pre-season.
The idea to win championships you need "defense" is just ridiculous!

I've been watching pretty much all of the WBC games, and the fundamentals that other teams exhibit makes our "Who-Needs-a-Sacrifice-Bunt-When-You-Can-Hit-a-Homer" approach to the game hilarious.

The defense is also not that shabby. One of my favorite plays so far in International play has to be this 2B to SS to 1B play beautifully executed by Team Cuba.

Darkshadow that is some pretty funny stuff, especially the knock on my Padres. I know they will be the worst franchise in the league again and will have an average of 12,000 - 15,000 fans showing up every home game. They can't field a competitive team and still keep the beer prices around $9.00 for 12 oz cup.

Looks like I will be watching my Padres at the Lake Elsinore field.

As far as Pedro goes, he won't last the first month. He will pull a hammy or groin and retire like he was thinking about doing last year.
