The defense is also not that shabby. One of my favorite plays so far in International play has to be this 2B to SS to 1B play beautifully executed by Team Cuba.

They make it look so easy.

Now I want a Cuba Libre. Anybody know where I can pick up some Havana Club Gran Reserva?
now that was beautiful... and I know I sound like a !#%^*^&*^*^, but I can't wait to see the Hudson - Furcal- Loney doulbe plays

Well, hopefully the Dodgers are scheduled to play the Netherlands a dozen or so times after the All Star break, as Pedro is looking like Cy Young against them. Then again, some of those guys playing for the Netherlands I hear have real jobs as glass blowers.

Apparently we want Peetie for the league minimum? How about a cool million, with incentives that'll push him up to 2 million? Go the entire season without getting hurt, and he has his choice of shacking up with Paris Hilton or one of the girls from the Hills? Have a 2:1 strikeout to walk ratio, and you get a personal suite at the Commerce Casino hotel.

Too bad his personal midget perished, or else he could've well been the Dodgers' answer to the Rally Monkey.

Imagine having him in the locker room? Too bad Jeff Kent's not around anymore, or else that would've been some entertaining conversations.

Seriously, spring training for the players is good for three things...

    1) Seeing if injuries have healed
    2) Position battles
    3) Getting into shape

Non-roster invitees and minor leaguers are getting playing time.

Predicting success in spring training would also then include Pittsburgh winning their division and Boston finishing last in theirs based on current standings.

On second thought, that would be awesome.

Got my navy blue nike cortez laced up and on. Okay ready to report, oh wait my lady is still penciling on her eyebrows.

    Okay now I'm ready.

Pedro back to the Dodgers? Could it be?

Looks like its a possibly at the moment. Pedro a now 37 year old with a rebuilt arm is a free agent after three injury plagued years with the Mets.

Pedro was looking pretty good for the DR team in the World Baseball Classic (of course he was pitching to the Netherlands team who aren't exactly known for baseball dominanace but he did dominate against them), and the Dodgers needing a pitcher...... maybe the dodgers could make up for their infamous trade of Pedro for Delino?

Pedro and Manny matched up might just be the ticket to take the dodgers all the way. And the way Schmidt is giving up the long ball it really might be just what the dodgers need.

We'll stay tuned for what at the very least we'll be an interesting year for the boys in blue!
Pedro Guerrero wow i thought he was older than 39.

After all the speculation....to the Phillies.

So where do you think Halladay is going to land?

Would you trade Kershaw for Halladay straight up if you were the Dodger's GM?
