    Default Is it legal to walk on to the jetties in NPH?

    Specifically the 7 or 8 short jetties along the coast north of Newport Pier. They look extremely fishy!!

    Yes, license required though...signs posted on each one stating so.

    i surf there probably 3 times a week. i used to see people catch a lot of perch on carolina rigged curly tailed grubs in motor oil or greenish and white. havent seen too many people fishing recently though. 28th st is the longest one 52 is the shortest.

    Thanks for the info. Looks kind of shallow around them from google earth but on a calm day might be good for something other than perch.
