I should have probably used the word "ironically" as opposed to "yet", regardless I know the regular season means little if anything....just like the fact the road team won both games by a point in the regular season. This is going to be an epic match up, nice break down btw...good read.
Personally I think the difference between this series and two years ago will be as follows:
1. Having Ron Artest's muscle and overall presence this time around, Ariza was a non factor that series and the toughness of the "fiesty" vet brings to the table will be key.
2. Gasol seems to have gotten better and much tougher, hard not to be after the "CupCake of 2008" performance.
3. Kobe wants it more than anyone on either side of the ball and will not allow himself to get shut down like he did a couple years ago. PERIOD.
Lastly the Lakers will remember this very well and will not want history to repeat itself.

I agree with your analysis DS, however I do think Bynum can be factor in the series, if anything a big body in the middle blocking the lane, and the length to pull down rebounds. Also maybe stick Sasha for parts of the game on Rondo? Until he pulled that bone head move he was doing pretty good with the D stopping Dragic. Also I hope someone rings Rondo's bell in one of the the first two games in LA , a little payback for that hit on Gasol. Enter Mbenga with the throat chop.
On a side note Bynum will be gone next year, replaced by Bosh and Alvin Gentry will be taking over for Jackson.
If Fisher cannot get it done Kobe will have to help out. He has been successful against Rondo before. Although Rondo has become a pretty great player Phil Jackson is a great coach and will develop a sound strategy against him. Fisher can help out guarding Allen while Kobe spends some time with Rondo.
Lakers!
