Thread: Larger LMB & stripers today.... Just keeps getting better!!!

  1. #1

Default Larger LMB & stripers today.... Just keeps getting better!!!

Got tired of fishing the boils and catching the smaller sized stripers so decided to throw some big baits today and it payed off big time! My brother landed a real nice striper, I got a very nice lmb, And my buddy ryan slayed some very nice fish... Was not expecting the quality of fish we caught today at all. Nice to see some larger models, at least in my boat. Had to call it quits early today, Probably would of been a nice afternoon bite as the wind was really starting to blow. Any guesses on the weight of the striper? Guy at the dock guessed, then we weighed it in the store.... Just want to prove he's off on his weight estimates... lol
All lmb released and lots and lots of stripers released, Kept 2 for a freind, Freezers full from last trip.

Yea today was awesome! I havent had a day like that in a while. There werent as many boils today as there has been but still managed to find the fish. All fish had fat bellies! Shad everywhere!! The biggest boils we saw were in the middle of the lake in the afternoon.

Ya i was there today shore fishing. didnt see that many boils but the fish were definitely biting and had FAT bellies. one of my lmb was about 16" but it was super heavy for an average fish of that size.

Most of the boils we saw were in the middle of the lake out from out house cove, down from the marina. To many boats in the mix and mostly schoolies so we found a different area that bit well. Thats awesome you did good from the shore, been wanting to fish the shore.
