Default 1st post, new to the site, and 1st time at dml in over a year

Had a great time like always lost a few kept the biggest of the day, showing my son how to fish has its price.
We were blown away by a striper that some guy was walking out with.
Any ideas on what type of inexpensive start-up fishing gear would work for a begginer ?
Love the site !!! I came accross it by trying to find out some tips on how to catch striper from the shore, we plan to go back a.s.a.p.

welcome to the site man. DVL is truly an AWESOME fishery! if you have any questions whatsoever, give me a call at the shop (Last Chance Bait and Tackle- 951-658-7410) and myself or anybody else working for that matter will do our best to steer you in the right direction. its definitely the time right now and the larger grade of fish should pop any time now.
