    Default Dvl 3/27/12

Went out fishing with my friend Harold yesterday and over all it was a pretty good day!! I haven't been out at the lake for over a month and I really didn't know what to expect. We decided to start off the morning by banging the banks and it turned out to be a pretty good choice. That was pretty much the technique we stuck with all day. We caught a total of 17 bass with two pushing the 7-8 pound range. The rest were in the 3 pound range and we pulled in maybe 2/3 fish that were in the 1 pound range. Harold caught 9 and I caught 7.

Water temp: 58.8 in the morning and 62.9 by evening
Slight wind for DVL standards which started around 1pm or so
    All fish were caught shallow
    We used Senkos and crankbaits

Hopefully I can get out again next week!! DVL is such an awesome lake to fish!!

I know I couldn't believe I was catching crankbait fish in late March. It's my favorite technique to fish!! Good luck next week!!

Good job guys! Sounds like a great day! I was out there as well and only got 2 in about 3hrs. from the shore. Gotta a bit banged up when I took a tumble on some rocks.... LOL! Had to stop by Last Chance so Josh could do a lil' rod repair.....

Glad you got a couple big girls!!

Cool...I was just curious...I never seem to have much luck with the Senkos in a T-Rig, I guess it all goes back to confidence in the bait...
