June Lake Opening Day
What a rare Opening Day - mid 30's at sunrise giving way to a sunny 50-60 afternoon. No snow, no ice, no wind. Lots of limits.
TWO-time winner, Dave Stephenson of Arcadia started coming to the June Lake Opening Day with his dad 42 years ago. Yesterday his 3.2# out of June Lake (rapala trolling) won him the silver belt buckle from the June Lake Marina. Dave also won the $300 biggest fish pot from the Lake Front Cabins guest pool.
Eric Walker has been coming to Opening Day with his dad for 35 years (his dad, Jim, first came with his dad over 58 years ago too). Yesterday Eric pulled in this nice 2# out of June Lake.
Other "old timers" Jeff Moore and Brent Sorenson (both been coming to Opener for 33 years) got this nice stringer trolling. Limits by 10am.
Our "fish guts" bucket was full last night, fun time and the weekend is not over yet.
