Default Bass Taxi 5-4 Fri DVL

A friend (Ted) and I Were jonesing to get out to DVL and hang a few Spring bass.
We have a long standing (years) Personnel Competition working!!!!

The Bass Taxi name came up and I called...
Ken seems to be very nice and easy to work with.
Had the day open Fri, the day we wanted to go out. Awesome...

Met Ken at the Ramp 6 AM ish. Off we went. Used the average baits etc, nothing fancy.
Most fish came on the drop shot Oxblood Robo.... 5 to 25 ft....
we are not Brain surgeons, so we keep it simple....
Jigs, Drop shot, Texas rig - Creatures, Carolina rig - big worms and Creatures..
Ted also got a rat on a top water... Some followers also???

The Skeeter is well used in appearance, (expected that being a rental), But Mechanically was better then any rental I have ever used.
Motor was Strong (115 HP), Trolling mtr was Big, Powerful and lasted all day with ease,
Live well operated just fine, even though we didnt use it..
Being a rental, all the Storage was empty and ready for us to store lunch & drinks, Terminal Tackle and jackets etc etc.. Cool....
for flat $150 a day (DVL rentals $140 a day)...
No way I will use any other rental on Bass Taxi Lakes EVER!!!
Thanks Ken.... You & "Bass Taxi" ROCK!!!!!

Obligatory "go fast" video, click below pic...

The fishing could have been better, but we had a Blast......
the Smack talk was fast and furious all day long!!!!
Boated a dozen or so LMB and 1 Smallie....

We havnt fished DVL in a long time (Been a year for me), that long or more for Ted..
So that wasnt to bad at all......
Biggest on the Digi was 3lb 10oz, But felt like a 5# (typical DVL - strong fish).....

Able to get around the lake FAST!!! And troll to our hearts content with ease...
Started on first crank every time!!!!
We both recommend Bass Taxi if you are looking to fish DVL, Perris Etc etc..
    Give Ken a call................

Nice Job Nessie and Ted! I think I met the Bass Taxi guy at Irvine Lake once. He seemed like a really cool dude. Awesome idea that he came up with! Nice fish in the boat. I have never been in a Bass Boat before, but it is amazing that the roads on the deck remained still as fast as you guys were going. Thanks for the report.

bass taxi showed up late when he said he was going to be there 5ish(came at 630) said he will meet us at the dock at 1230(came at 330) no calls or txt, wont pick up his phone. finally, at the last minute he said it was an emergency? wouldve been nice to give us a heads up. anyway, the boat is cool but his service is not. there are other "rental boat guys" at DVL with top electronics that keep their word...might wanna give them a shout instead...just my 2cent

I have to agree. I really like ken but he is never on time and that does matter to me. And who are these other guys? Please send me a pm.

Ted and I had a great experience with "the Bass Taxi" and Ken the owner...
Have no clue who these *other* boats are??? New to the game??
Kens been around for some time now and is the Original as far as I know..

Great service, Nice guy, very easy to deal with. No Surprises!!!!
Flat Rate, doesnt change!!! Important factors IMHO.....

@ Hitts... I dont report often any more.
To Old & dont get out often. But also selective on giving up to much info in public...
    been there done that....
But Im on here couple times a day to check the Tackle, Classified & PM's etc... :-)

I've used the bass taxi about 20 times in the last 3 years. Always a 1st class operation. Sounds to me like this Yot bird dude might be bad mouthing cause he or a buddy is starting a copycat business (2 posts here on fnn). Same with fishdoodoo. Just an educated guess on my part. Bad mouthing other people won't get you too far in business these days. I did have a problem one time with the boat and Ken and he made it right. Good guy, good boat, good business.
