    Deep Sea Bass ?

30 to 50 lb White Sea Bass or 2 to 5 lb Calico/Sand Bass ?
Your reel will be fine for inshore smaller bass.

It works just fine. Smack some 20-30lb spectra on there and you're good to go. The only problem is that if you hook a Jellotail then you'll be running around the boat with that little reel and on top of that your drag might get destroyed.

I occassionally bust out my old 200DHSV and that thing is a hoot to fish with. Sometimes I'll even use 6lb on those moo moos for bass, macs, and shallow water rockfish.
