Well, at least the Dobyn rods got quite a bit of upgrades since their move to a different overseas manufacture. TT has quite a few positive things to say about them

They could be made in Communist North Korea by Kim Jong-Il himself (with the blanks made by Fidel Castro) for all I care as long as the performance and price works out.

a friend of mine is on the Dobyns pro staff.he got his rods last night.
got to cast a few of them.they are the lightest rod you will find.the 7'6 jig
rod feels like a feather even with a Revo on it.Gary Dobyns designed the GLX line
for Loomis....these are lighter stronger and nicer than those.hold one and you will see.
