Default Hellicopter Lure and Flying Lure

I remember staying up late at night as a kid just to watch the infomercials for these lures over and over again. I even convinced my mom to buy me both the hellicopter lure and flying lure kits. They are still sitting somewhere in my parents' garage. I never caught anything with the hellicopter lure but my little brother managed to catch a small mackerel on the Redondo Pier while they were on a mack attack. I'm wondering in anyone has caught anything with these tv lures or have any funny experiences with them. I just get nostalgic watching these old videos.

I caught many bass on the flying lure when I first started bass fishing @ Puddingstone & Legg Lake fishing with my Dad.

    flying lure! loved the infomercials....

where the lure goes in the other direction almost force feeding the fish.... I see the helicopter lures at BIG 5 still.

i guess it doesn't really work like that?
