    Just picked up a Trinidad 14a. Need a rod to pair it up with. Will be be doing local fishing. Want a all around rod. Any suggestions.

    how about a calstar 800m jigstick, or 700ml live bait rod. seeker has 870 or 670 for baitstick. something in 20-40lb range would be good for you

    get a calstar gg 270-8h rod. Its a 8' 15-40ls rod. Its a glass and graphite composite rod. you can flyline baits to throw surface iron on the rod. That and its lightweight which will match great w/ your reel. I have a fathom 25n on mine. I like it better then my phenix rods.

    I have this rod paired up with a Penn torque 12 star drag, its one of my fav`s great for fresh/inshore have it spooled with 17lb Berkly vanish gold floro.

    Could be a tad on the light side for you, what are you going after?
    That 14a is a nice reel

    What about a ulgy stick to go with your Trinidad. Hahaha. Jk jk.. Let me know when's the next outing meng!! Got to catch'um all..

    depends on your budget, check out the phenix hybrid line, fits well with the smaller trinis and it's light
