San Antonio 5/13

This is a late report from Sunday. The morning top water bite was really good I got 15 fish on top water and grubs. Nothing huge my biggest fish was a 2 pound smallmouth. I caught 6 spots, I didn't even know they were in San Antonio. I didn't see any bait nor did I see any stripers. I heard that the catfish are biting pretty well on bait from shore though.

What I hear is that the stripers are active just not up on top so much. You need the right technique. That's what I'm trying to learn. Got a new one I'll be trying out there in a day or two.

That might be, I like to camp over bait but it has been hard to find. I heard it was good a couple weeks ago but haven't heard of any fish since. I am going up on Sunday, I might fish Seaside Saturday, the top water striper bite on the beaches is going strong right now.
