  Angler's Lake

Location and Directions:

     Angler's Lake is located in the city of Hemet in Riverside Co. From Los Angeles take hwy. 60 to I-215 south. Travel approx. 20 miles to Hwy. 74. Go East on 74 through the city of Hemet to Soboba St. Turn Right on Soboba until it ends at Stetson. Turn right and then Left on Lake St. Turn right on Thornton Ave to the lake.



General Info:

    Angler's Lake is a small lake of only 8 surface acres and 1 mile of shoreline. The lake is open year round, Tues. through Sun., 6:30 am to 5 pm for day fishing, 5 pm to 6 am for night fishing in the summer. Closed on Mondays unless it is a holiday. Entrance fee is $14.00 per person, children 6-10 are $10. There is a lake store for tackle and supplies. (909) 927-2614.

Fishing Info:

    This is a very good Catfish and Trout lake. No limit on either species. Trout are stocked in the winter and Catfish in the summer. There are also some Bass and Bluegill here. Bass are catch-and-release only. No fishing license is required here.

Comments and Tips:

    Nice quiet lake, with only a few people, could be a little cleaner though, there was trash all around the lake and some floating in the water, other than that, it was nice and quiet, with lots of shade.
