Comments and Tips:
I fish here every weekend. I jig fish and almost always leave with my limit. the best spots to fish are the cove on the left side of the snack bar. or the small cove right in front of the snack bar. the best jig colors to use or the ones i use and do really well on are a combo trout jig of yellow and white or combo trout jig orange and green. and i always throw a mill worm on the jig hook as well. using dough bait is also good almost anywhere around the lake. the small lake mostly gets the stocking of small fish but i have seen very good size trout get pulled out as well. now that trout season is comming to an end i have seen alot of cat fish being cought by anglers fishing for trout using nightcrawlers. all the cat fish i have seen are under 5 pounds. i have also caught within the last 3 weeks two 3-5 pound carp with always put up a very good fight and i've seen alot of other anglers hook'em up as well. carp and catfish i have only seen being caught at the big lake. i have only caught a hand full of bluegill at the small lake and have only seen very small bass pulled out of the small lake as well. best times to fish are friday and saturday of course, they stock the lake thursday, but have done very well getting my limit on a monday and tuesday. hope this late season update can help some of you anglers out. good luck.
