Lower Otay Res.

 Lower Otay Res. is located near San Diego. From I-5, take hwy. 805 South to Telegraph Cyn. Rd. Then go East 8 miles toWueste Rd. Go South to the lake. It consists of 1,265 surface acres at capacity and 13 miles of shoreline set at an elevation of 490 feet. They have a nice launch ramp and rental boats are available.  This lake is best known for it's Largemouth Bass fishing. There is a good population of healthy fish here. (Record Bass is 18.12 pounds). Some big Blue (82 pounds, 10 oz)(State record) and Channel Catfish (to 31 pounds), Crappie, and Bluegill are also found here. This lake also holds the state record on Bluegill at 3.8 pounds.
